Immediately the animal is arrested and taken away to be searched and interrogated. Protests and diplomatic notes are exchanged between the two nations, and at last the cow is returned to its own country where it is received with great pomp and decorated with the highest honors. It is then imprisoned to prevent any further incidents of such an awkward nature.
